Welcome to Chasing Wrays!
I’ve always found myself constantly drawn to the light. It chases away the darkness and the cold & speaks of good days to come. Chasing Wrays is a place to commemorate those moments. The moments of finding that lovely sunshine, which comes easily on some days and proves to be quite a feat on others. It is a place you will find authenticity, fun, and encouragement in the rough & enchanting places of day to day life. If you find yourself deep in the throes of parenthood, carrying life’s heavy load, or perhaps you are simply one who loves to laugh, this is the place for you. The one thing I can guarantee is the truth, the kind that is worth sticking around for because to know it is to be forever changed.
About Us:
-
I am starting this blog because I find myself missing in a life that I love. I’m not sure how that is possible or when exactly it came to be, but I intend to right that wrong. This is my journey to go fetch that youthful silliness that has been seemingly absent from myself and bring her back. I believe that the ability to find the sunshine in the mundane and maintain a level of childlike fun would only enrich our adult lives or at the very least it’s worth the effort to find out.

My name is Cassie Wray. I appreciate authenticity and spoken truth when it is so easy to find yourself deceived and believing a lie. I love finding practical ways to incorporate fun in the daily because I believe wholeheartedly that laughter is medicine for the soul. And I believe in the power of encouragement. Life carries a lot of heaviness and while I want to recognize that I don’t want to be defined by it. I want to speak Truth over the broken areas of my life and encourage others to do the same. I am a proud believer of Jesus Christ. He is my God and Savior who has saved me and given me my very identity. I only know who I am because of Him and my life is full of reason because of the fact that He lives. If there is anything about me that's worth knowing, it's Jesus.
-
I think the only way to know me is to know my people. I met and married the love of my life young. He makes me better. He is the steady to my chaos. I actually have a hard time remembering what it was like to do life without him by my side as we just celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Together, we graduated college as your classic finance and education pair. What can I say? What some call cliché, I call destiny.

We have three girls and our house looks like it! Our oldest is a copy/paste version of her mama. She is high energy, full of words, and up for just about anything that involves other people. She is the first time I ever realized how exhausting a person like me can be. Our middle is going to give us a run for our money. She is all sugar and spice, heavy on the spice. She knows what she wants and has felt sure of making her opinions known from the start. And then there is our rainbow baby, who just recently joined our pack. She is healing to our souls and the perfect amount of squish. They make us laugh and are constantly teaching us. I never knew just how little I knew until I met the three of them.

Expect real life—served with a side of mochas, chaos, and Jesus.
Here at Chasing Wrays, you’ll find a mix of heartfelt stories, faith-filled reflections, and everyday hilarity that proves none of us really have it together (and that’s okay). This is a space where we practice fun, speak truth, and rediscover joy in the mundane. Whether I’m sharing a messy parenting moment with a spiritual twist, a family activity idea that actually worked, or a summer bingo sheet that might save your sanity—my goal is to help you find sunshine, even in the middle of the mess.
You can expect:
Encouraging devotionals and real-life stories that remind you of who God is (even when life feels bananas)
Practical tips for families—from meal planning to memory making
Creative activities for kids (and moms too)—think seasonal fun, printables, and bingo sheets galore
Funny, relatable reflections on motherhood, marriage, and trying to “adult” without losing yourself
And a whole lot of authenticity, grace, and joy in progress
This blog is for the mamas, the mess-makers, the list-makers, and the women looking to live fully without needing to be perfect. If you're chasing Jesus, chasing joy, or just chasing a toddler through Target—you're in the right place.
